“I’ve had Kik for about 2 years. Back then it was awesome and worked really well. I got a new phone, forgot about it, and then about half a year later I installed it again. When I opened it, it worked perfectly and I didn’t run into issues. Over time, though, I started noticing a few bugs. For example, I’m the owner of a group, and sometimes when I open the app and a bot joins, I try to remove it—but I don’t get the option to do so. When I check the members list, it shows two of me: one as the owner and one as a member. I asked the members if they see two of me, and they said no. I tried closing the app and reopening it, but it never fixed the problem—so I just wait, and let my admins handle it. Another change I hated is that when someone leaves a group chat, you can’t private message them afterward. That update bothered me a lot because I made friends in some chats and then they left, and now I can’t reach them unless I already had them in my contacts (which I don’t). I mostly only notice these bugs in group chats. Also, the ads update—at least what I think was an update—was really annoying and messed up all the chats I was in. I really hope they fix these problems because I love the app!”
