Customer Reviews

• The motion detector seems slow to trigger the camera as someone approaches the door. For example, when a delivery is left at my home, playback often only shows the delivered package—nothing about the earlier moment.



• It would help if the doorbell camera could be turned off easily from inside the app when you expect lots of visitors. Disabling notifications does reduce alerts, but it’s inconvenient to manage.



• After getting a new iPhone, the app alerts iOS 13.4 that the doorbell was rung, but it doesn’t play any video in either the live view or message view.



• One user reports the doorbell worked properly at first, mainly sending notifications when the device was moved from under a towel. After mounting outside, motion notifications began happening about every five minutes, then increased to about every minute (sometimes multiple per minute). Replacing the SD card (32G Class 10) improved things briefly (around 18 hours), but the frequent notifications returned the next morning.

• Another reviewer found the experience frustrating: they receive hourly notifications that don’t seem meaningful, but the camera can miss events like a delivery left on the porch and may never notify at all. They also mention there’s no helpful instruction or troubleshooting guide for the app, even for settings such as “data usage alert.”



• Some feedback also points to hardware issues, such as the battery not holding a charge for more than about two weeks, and the app not warning users when the battery runs out. The reviewer says they only notice the problem when the annoying hourly notifications stop after several days.
