Because of this, focus your sacrifices on survivors who have already reached maximum stalk progress—leaving survivors who can still be stalked alive may allow you to keep building your Evil Within longer.

Activate Evil Within III at the Right Time

Evil Within III is The Shape’s highest tier. When active, it applies the Exposed status to survivors, which can lead to one-hit downs or even instant death, depending on the add-ons you’re using.

This is the moment when The Shape is at his strongest, and the duration depends on the add-ons equipped. Evil Within III will eventually end (unless you’re using Fragrant Tuft of Hair), so timing and pressure matter.
