What I do love is that the app remembers exactly where I stopped across all seasons and episodes, and it’s easy to resume or restart. Discovery+ originals feel high quality and are worth the subscription by themselves. In about four months, I haven’t had any service interruptions. The menu is also excellent—adding and removing favorites is simple, it takes full advantage of Fire device navigation, and Alexa voice control finds content quickly compared with other apps. I’d just like newer/current episodes to load faster. Sometimes something that’s available live over-the-air can take up to a month to appear on the streaming service, depending on the show.”

The selection feels almost endless, and there’s a ‘recently added’ section that updates a few times a week. You also get HGTV, TLC, and big back catalogs—multiple seasons of shows like Dr. Pimplepopper, Fixer Upper, 600lb Life, Hoarders, and Food Network content. I pay for the $4.99 plan with commercials. Breaks are limited (around four per show) and they’re usually about 30 seconds to 1.5 minutes. The app shows a commercial countdown in the top corner, so you’re back to the program fast. Overall, it’s perfect—more than perfect!”
