Useful Tips for Filmora

Import Video from Media

To start editing, you first need to import your video. Open the Media tab in the top-left corner, then tap Import Media to bring in the files you want.

If you want a quicker workflow: double-click the empty area under the Import Media button, then select your desired video files. After that, drag and drop your video onto the timeline below.

Trim Video into Parts

Move the playhead onto the video, then use the Scissor (trim) function to remove unwanted sections. Note that it can take a while.

• Select the video, right-click, and choose Trim Start To Playhead to cut off the part before the playhead.
• Repeat the process, then choose Trim End To Playhead to remove the section after the playhead.

Customize Quick Tools on the Panel

Tap Custom toolbar on the left side of the screen to view available functions you can apply to your video.

To add or remove tools from the toolbar, drag and drop items onto each other. This helps you clear out unnecessary functions so only the useful ones remain.

If you want to revert changes, select Reset.

Edit and Modify the Video Directly

To change a video’s properties, right-click the clip and select Edit Properties. While this works, it can be slower.
