Poke Genie Introduction
Poke Genie Poke Genie helps Pokémon fans optimize every battle by scanning for IVs, building better teams, and using raid, PVP, and evolution tools to train smarter and win faster.
Poke Genie
Poke Genie is a helpful companion for Pokémon fans. You can scan a Pokémon’s page to get its Individual Values (IVs), then use that info to plan team setups and training approaches to strengthen the Pokémon you care about. It also includes tools that cut down on guesswork and effort, such as a PVP IV calculator, an evolution simulator, and a Pokémon name generator.
The app further supports battle prep with type advantage guidance and win probability estimates against opposing Pokémon—so you can go into fights with more confidence.
Key Features
Battle Simulator
Whether you’re taking on raids or gym battles, the Battle Simulator helps you choose the best counters from your Pokémon collection. It suggests strong raid battle teams with minimal input, aiming to improve your win chances while reducing how often you rely on potions and revives. With it, you can face raid bosses more confidently.
Moveset Ranking
The Moveset Ranking feature runs many battle simulations to estimate moveset DPS accurately, helping ensure your Pokémon’s moves perform at their best during battles.
Pokedex
The Pokedex compiles all Pokémon available in the game and provides detailed breakdowns such as Base Stats, Max Stats, CP values, gender ratios, Buddy distance, evolution lines, movesets, and more.
Type Effectiveness Tool
No need to memorize matchups. The Type Effectiveness reference makes it easy to look up weaknesses, resistances, and effectiveness in the moment.
Scan Organizer
It keeps a clean history of your scan results in a simple, easy-to-review layout—so you can assess and track your Pokémon collection without hassle.
Power Up / Purification Simulator
The Power Up / Evolution Simulator estimates exact CP and HP outcomes and also calculates the stardust and candy costs for each action, based on your Pokémon’s IVs. That means you spend fewer resources on underpowered choices.

Highlights

- Global Raiding: Helps you team up with players around the world. In raid boss battles, stronger allies are often essential.
- Access to Rare Pokémon: Coordinating with others can lead to impressive rewards—and sometimes legendary Pokémon.
- Easy to Use: The app typically guides you to the right match to join by analyzing the raid index and offering quick ways to connect with other trainers.
- PVP IV Calculator: In major tournaments, a high index isn’t always enough—you also need sensible strategy preparation before the match.
- Name Generator: Instead of manually managing names over time, you can update Pokémon names using their index. The app can scan information, suggest names, and make future searching faster.

How to Join a Remote Raid in PokeGenie
To join a remote raid, you’ll need a Remote Raiding Pass in Pokémon GO and an account inside the Poke Genie app. The process involves sending a friend request to the raid host. It takes a little coordination, but it’s very doable—and many players use it. Some raids even have hundreds of open lobbies.
First, choose the raid boss you want. You’ll see two types of status listings: open lobbies and queues.

- Open lobbies: These are raids being hosted right now, so you can usually enter immediately.
- Queues: More people want to join than there are hosts available. You’ll wait your turn, depending on how many players decide to host.
If there’s an open raid (or you reach the top of the queue), the app will show the host’s username and friend code. Next:
- Open Pokémon GO and add the host as a friend.
- Return to Poke Genie and tap "Friend Request Sent" to notify the host.
- When the host is ready, they’ll invite you to the raid.
Keep an eye on the app—requests can take a while to process, so your time to accept may be shorter than you expect.
After that, it’s just a standard remote raid: defeat the boss, claim your rewards, and catch the Pokémon.

User Reviews
- “Please fix the background behavior so that notification banners don’t pop up at the top of your screen while you’re in Pokémon GO catching Pokémon. We need to see the IV % before the catch. It’s the #1 most important feature, especially during Tuesday night bonus hour and Community Days. It works sometimes—let’s target it happening about 67% of the time.”
- “A bit of a Pokémon GO ‘desert’ around here—Poke Genie makes it possible for me to join raids and actually win ones I wouldn’t be able to otherwise. It’s also more reliable than inviting random people from my friends list… and…”
