It also includes offline translation packs, which let you translate even when you don’t have an internet connection. On top of that, Papago can translate entire web pages—just paste a website link to translate the content you see.

How to Use Document Translation

Attach a document you want to translate, and Papago will generate a translated version for you.

Login is required to use document translation. Each account can translate up to 10 documents per month across both PC and mobile.

The usage limit resets on the 1st day of every month (KST), and it does not carry over to the next month.

Document Translation Format

• Supported file types: pptx, xlsx, docx, hwp
• Size/text limits: under 10 MB and fewer than 10,000 characters
• Language pairs:
  • Korean → English
  • English → Korean

Steps

• 1. Open Home > Document Translation
• 2. Upload the document you want to translate
• 3. Choose the language pair (e.g., Korean–English)
• 4. Tap/click Translate to start



• 5. Review the completed translated file

Important Precautions

• Text inside images is not translated.
• Encrypted documents are not translated.
• Formatting such as styles, hyperlinks, and notes may differ or may be missing after translation.
• Some documents may fail to translate due to separate, unpredictable issues.
• Translated files can be downloaded for 7 days starting from the translation date.
  • For the next 7 days, they remain visible in the list, but downloads are unavailable.
• After 14 days, the translation record is automatically removed from the list.
• After the download window ends, only the file title, translation date, and language pair remain— the translated file is no longer accessible.
