Where are my matches? How do I message people?

You can find both matches and messages on your Matches page. Before someone appears as a match, you both must interact with each other using Like or Homie. After you Like or Homie someone, Flirtual tries to ensure they can view your profile too. If they Like or Homie you back, you’ll be matched.

If you Like someone and they Homie you (or the other way around), a match will still be created—but it will show as a Homie match.

What is the difference between a “Like” and a “Homie”?

• You can choose Like, Homie, or Pass on other users’ profiles.
• Like means you’re interested in dating or a romantic connection.
• Homie means you’re interested in being friends first (at least initially).
• Pass means you’re not interested in either dating or friendship.

After you Like or Homie someone, Flirtual will try to make sure they see your profile. When they respond with Like or Homie back, it becomes a match. If you’ve enabled match notifications, you’ll also receive an email. Matched users then appear on your Matches page, where you can message them and coordinate meeting up in VR.

If one person chooses Like while the other chooses Homie, the match will still form, but it will be labeled as a Homie match.

Flirtual offers two ways to browse new profiles: Date Mode and Homie Mode.
