What is Blue Kik?

Blue Kik was created as a “pet project” to improve the original Kik experience and to see if a better Kik mod could be built. Like many people in the past, the project was inspired by earlier mods—and the goal was to bring those ideas forward into the newest version with as many features as possible. The mod aims to make Kik more enjoyable, including built-in exploit and spam-bot protection. Blue Kik is built around community feedback: suggestions submitted inside the app (or shared with the developer) are reviewed, and many requested features end up being added. The app includes a long list of capabilities (over 100 features) to cover most users’ needs.

What’s the difference between the Release and Clone versions?

The Blue Kik Clone version allows you to run two Blue Kik apps (two accounts) on a single device. If you don’t need two accounts, you don’t have to install the Clone version. At the moment, the main differences are minor theme-related changes.

I’m not receiving notifications in the background. What should I do?

Tap the settings icon in the upper-right corner → Blue Mods → Extras → enable “Keep-Alive Service”.

Kik Live isn’t showing in the app. Why?

To save bandwidth and improve privacy, Kik Live is disabled by default. You can turn it on from Blue Mods.
