• android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION - Retrieve CellID information
• android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION - Get GPS location



• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Access cellular network information
• android.permission.INTERNET - Connect to a server to download map data and upload data



• android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Write to an external CSV file when there is no network connection
• android.permission.READ_LOGS - Read Samsung Field Test Mode data on Android 4.1 and earlier (even if shown as available, the app can’t read browsing history unless the browser logs it to the system log)
• android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE - Read information about airplane mode and network settings
• android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - Applies after device boot (if enabled)
• android.permission.VIBRATE - Vibrate when the CellID changes
• android.permission.WAKE_LOCK - For devices that don’t support CellID 4.2+ to ensure correct reporting

Summary

CellMapper can work with all SIM cards (whether or not they include a cellular network module). Since the Maps API is supported only on Android 2.2+, map features are available only on Android 2.2 or later. You can use this map view to see cell tower locations.
