• Is Aurora Store a fork of YalpStore?

  Technically, no. Aurora Store v3 was written from scratch, and Aurora Store v4 is a rewrite of v3 using Kotlin. However, it does reuse some code from YalpStore.

• Do I need Google Play Services to use Aurora Store?

  No. Aurora Store can access the Google Play store without relying on Google Play Services. It works whether you use Google Play Services or microG.

  

• What is the FakeStore?

  Some apps are designed to check whether Google Play is missing and may react badly if it isn’t detected. The FakeStore acts as a disguise/stub to help those apps behave normally.
