Call of Duty®:Mobile Introduction

Call of Duty®:Mobile Call of Duty Mobile brings 100-player battle royale, team or solo play, and multiple modes like Multiplayer, Ranked, Zombies, and DMZ: Recon—plus strategic weapons, vehicles, and seasonal events.

Call of Duty®: Mobile

Call of Duty®: Mobile is a competitive online battle royale experience where you can drop in solo or team up with friends. Up to 100 players fight on a large map. At the beginning of a match, you’ll pick skills, then search the battlefield for weapons, vehicles, and equipment. Winning depends on using your loadout and tactics to take out opponents and secure victory.

The game offers multiple ways to play, including item chases, high-tempo gunfights, and Capture the Flag. Each season also brings new events and character outfit additions to keep things fresh.

Gameplay

The gameplay largely follows the “classic” style from earlier entries in the series (the screenshots highlight the Crossfire map from the Modern Warfare sub-series).

Main modes

  • Multiplayer
  • Battle Royale

Both modes can be played as ranked or non-ranked matches. In addition to matchmaking, you can open a private room and invite friends to fight together.

In-game currencies

  • Credits — earned by playing
  • COD Points — purchased with real money
  • Call of Duty®:Mobile

You can play the full game without spending, but some exclusive character and weapon skins require COD Points.

Additional modes

Call of Duty®:Mobile

  • Zombies — includes an Endless mode and a new Raid mode where you survive a set number of rounds and then face a boss.
  • DMZ: Recon — based on the DMZ extraction mode from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, featuring fights against AI enemies and other players while you extract loot and weapons, with cosmetic rewards to earn.

Features

Multiple ways to play

Choose from:

  • Quick 5v5 Multiplayer for shorter matches
  • Large-scale Battle Royale for longer sessions
  • DMZ: Recon extraction gameplay built around high-stakes objectives

This variety helps you keep your momentum as you switch between modes.

Controls that match your style

You can personalize key settings like the HUD, sensitivity, and layout to fit your grip. CODM also includes voice and text chat for squad coordination. If you prefer, optional controller support is available for aiming and movement with a different input method.

Familiar maps and operators

Classic locations such as Nuketown, Raid, Rust, Terminal, and Satellite appear with mobile-friendly adjustments. You’ll also find operators like Ghost and Outrider, alongside CODM originals, so the roster feels instantly recognizable.

Deep loadouts and progression

You can craft custom loadouts using weapons, attachments, perks, and scorestreaks. As you progress, you unlock camos, blueprints, and reactive skins. This progression system supports different playstyles—whether you focus on objectives, flanking routes, or long-range control.

Ranked and social competition

Ranked mode tracks performance through tiers, while Clans support group advancement and coordinated objectives. CODM Esports also runs events and the World Championship, connecting competitive players to official rules and rewards.

Strategies

Pick the right control option

In the game settings, the Controls tab offers two choices:

  • Simple Mode — auto-fires at enemies in your crosshair, but can burn through ammo faster.
  • Advanced Mode — the recommended option, giving you more control over aiming down sights and firing.

Consider using a controller

You can absolutely succeed using touch controls, but a controller can improve aiming and movement accuracy. You can pair:

  • PS4 DualShock
  • PS5 DualSense
  • Xbox controllers
  • Call of Duty®:Mobile

  • Or many other Bluetooth gaming controllers

Pair the controller to your mobile device via Bluetooth, then turn on controller support inside the game’s settings.

Communicate with your squad

Call of Duty®:Mobile

You can talk with teammates using voice chat. In objective-focused modes, coordination is often the deciding factor—so if you’re comfortable, communicate during matches.

Use your mini-map

Always check the mini-map. It can show teammate positions and help you spot when enemies are nearby.

Don’t ignore your pistol (or secondary)

Matches move fast, and running out of ammo mid-fight is common. When that happens, switch to your pistol or another secondary weapon, since weapon swapping is usually quicker than reloading.

Aim down sights

Aiming down sights is more accurate than hip firing. Practice ADS—especially when you’re peeking or moving around corners.

Use cover

In both multiplayer and battle royale, use cover smartly. Buildings and rocks can help you protect yourself while you recover health, and good cover usage reduces how much of your body is exposed during gunfights.
