Trials in Tainted Space Introduction

Trials in Tainted Space Trials in Tainted Space is a text-based space adventure where you pilot ships, meet alien races, and choose to talk or fight—unlocking multiple outcomes, combat moments, and ongoing updates.

Trials in Tainted Space

Trials in Tainted Space is a text-based adventure where you steer characters through space, piloting different kinds of ships to explore the universe. Along the way, you’ll meet a variety of alien creatures on strange planets. What you choose to do—talk things out or turn to violence—will shape how the story unfolds. In the end, will your character reach a joyful outcome or a heartbreaking one? That decision is entirely up to you.

The game also includes a broad cast of characters with different races and personalities, ranging from regular residents to ship captains—so there’s plenty for every kind of player. And development is ongoing: expect continual updates with new characters, additional story events, and more endings. Stay tuned.

Key Features

  • Always-Branching Results During your travels, you’ll frequently run into new characters—some of whom may become playable, offering fresh and engaging experiences.
  • Fast-Paced Encounters The adventure highlights frequent situations you can’t ignore: you may race, fight, and chase down leads, all while pushing for a safe journey.
  • Customizable Gameplay Core systems revolve around the writing and mechanics that appear throughout play. From there, other systems expand with different points of interest, keeping each playthrough engaging.
  • Combat That Matters You can craft and improve weapons to boost your ship’s effectiveness. Hostile encounters are less of a guaranteed threat in new zones, and cooldown changes add extra depth to battles.

  • “Unused” Challenge Encounters You may be pushed to face Tyros, a strong opponent. However, it isn’t necessarily framed as a truly dangerous foe—more like an adversary you’ll meet within the game’s match flow.

Player Feedback

“It’s honestly a decent game with a ton of content. There are loads of scenes and kinks to explore, so if that’s your thing you definitely won’t run out of stuff to do anytime soon. That said, the main story feels like it barely moves forward, and a lot of the updates seem more focused on adding new adult content than expanding the central narrative. Combat and classes are okay, but they don’t drastically change the overall experience, and some systems still feel a bit underdeveloped. The art can be hit or miss, and after a while the gameplay can start to feel grindy and repetitive. Still, if you like heavily customizable NSFW text games and don’t mind a slower-moving story, there’s a lot to enjoy here—it just needs more polish and stronger progression to really shine.”

“I never expected to end up giving it such a high rating. I’d already enjoyed both fantasy Fenoxo games, Corruption of Champions 1 & 2, and I assumed I’d like the sci-fi entry about as much. In the end, though, this one felt like the best value and one of the most rewarding games I’ve played. If you’re reading this and you haven’t played Fenoxo games before: these are browser-based, text-heavy lewd adventure RPGs with medium-complexity mechanics, large maps to explore, tons of menus, and a big roster of characters. Art is mostly sprite-based for encounters. A big unique hook is that the games are collaborative projects made by many writers, so there’s a huge amount of content.”

Note: The original feedback also mentions that the game includes adult sandbox dynamics and generally keeps the tone light rather than dark or violent, though specific details were truncated in the source text.
