Changelog & Version Notes

Long-time players may notice the numbering looks a bit different. Don’t worry—this is the latest build of TSSR. The version system has been adjusted to simplify the sequence.

The current version number is intended to reflect (as best as possible) the total progress toward a full release. At this stage, the developer estimates the game is around 70% complete—with still plenty of work left.

Version v0.70 Highlights

• 62 new art pieces have been added.
• The goal is to raise the Tribes storyline to a quality level closer to the rest of the game.
• It does not fully complete the overhaul, but it significantly improves the storyline.

The remaining part of the Tribes storyline will be updated later this year, when the storyline is finished and the rest of the artwork is updated to complete the full arc, wrapping up what the developer calls one of the medium-sized storylines.

Design Intent (Tribes Storyline)

The Tribes storyline is meant to explore what defeat actually looks like. Instead of a short defeat screen or a few lines, the intent in TSSR is to show the full consequences of player choices and let you experience the scale of those outcomes.

First-Time Tribes Route (Example Choices)

If you haven’t played this storyline before, the developer suggests starting with the following path:

• Start > Stay with Thomas > then make all the bad decisions while preparing for the war with the Tribes.

Story variations can change significantly depending on whether you spare the Emmisary or not.

Ongoing Development

The developer says work is already underway for the next update, which will include new art and a large portion of new storyline.

The upcoming update is expected to focus on the Mage storyline. Some of the new art is already described as especially exciting, and it’s planned to be shared in the coming weeks.
