ANNO: Mutationem
ANNO: Mutationem is an action-adventure game with a strong cyberpunk vibe. You’ll explore different city locations, follow the story, and slowly uncover what’s really going on. Play as a hunter-bartender who teams up with companions to track down ruthless criminals—switching between melee and ranged weapons to chain combos and thin out massive waves of enemies, while earning rewards you can use to improve Ann’s stats, skills, and gear.
On top of the main adventure, the game includes plenty of mini-games. They can grant extra loot, chips, and crafting materials—helping you build and power up even stronger weapons.
Features
Explore and discover
This world is packed with surprises. While you progress through the campaign, you can chat with a cyborg corgi, take on part-time bartender duties, hunt down notorious criminals, and even reveal the real identity behind a popular V-streamer. From places like Neon Noctis Town to an offshore cargo ship and vast underground complexes, you can roam freely and play your way.

Strategies
Manage Your Inventory
Consumables matter throughout the game, and some are significantly more valuable than others. At the start, you can carry only five items in your backpack. You may stack up to five of the same item in one slot; after that, you’ll need to use another slot for additional stacks.
Stim Shots are especially important during the first half of the game, though they’ll eventually be replaced by the stronger Digitalin. Corn Juice is another key item.
Erythropoietin increases your damage output, while 654-2 reduces the damage you take. FM HE Grenades can freeze opponents and are powerful—but you won’t see them much until roughly the second half, often after you’ve increased your backpack capacity at least once.
Because you’ll keep finding items as you go, focus early on what’s actually useful. Don’t waste backpack space on low-priority items like Burgers, Onion Piquants, Arc Draughts, or packs of Lightning Gum. Grenades can be hit-or-miss depending on how you play, so treat them accordingly.
Do Every Side Mission
Try to complete every side mission you encounter. They aren’t overly difficult in ANNO: Mutationem, and many can be finished quickly—so you won’t be stuck grinding for hours. Even better, if you accept them casually, you may end up finishing them without too much trouble.
Some side missions reward grom points (distinct from grombits, which you earn by defeating enemies). These grom points are used to upgrade your main stats. There are just enough grom points in the game to level every stat in your talent tree—so when you see a side mission, it’s usually worth taking.
Bartending for Money
Early on in Mutationem, you’ll unlock a mini-game at your family bar. In the early stages, this game can pay out a large amount of money. The goal is to mix the drinks patrons request—matching what they want as you play.
