Different Strokes Introduction
Different Strokes Different Strokes is a casual doodle painting exploration adventure where you protect a friend’s exhibition. Create and improve artworks, explore a growing gallery, and use interactive painting to unleash creativity.
Different Strokes
Different Strokes is a casual doodle-painting exploration adventure. You step into the story as the protagonist—invited by a friend to his art exhibition. But the gallery is being vandalized by disruptive visitors, and your job is to stop the damage before it spreads.
The game features vibrant 2D cartoon doodle visuals and an always-growing gallery you can keep improving. As you explore works by other artists, you’ll also have access to a free-roaming 3D space and a smart, interactive painting mode designed to spark your creativity.
Engaging Story
Your friend is a concept artist, and he brings you to his newest exhibition. You expect to see his latest pieces on the walls—yet you quickly realize something is off. The “painters” are actually the guests themselves, and they’re even tagging each other’s artwork.
So the mission changes: protect the exhibition from these awful creations, whether they’re meant as vandalism or made by mistake.
Game Highlights
- Explore an endless, continuously expanding gallery packed with user-made art—and sarcastic visitors.
- Add extra layers to pieces that need redoing.
- Create brand-new artworks to add to the exhibition.
- Rate artworks so the good ones get noticed and the bad ones sink lower.

Real-Time Performance
- All artworks are generated, recreated, and rated in real time inside the game.
- The game hosts and dynamically loads artwork for you to interact with.
- You’re encouraged to jump in and “fix” the pieces that—inevitably—aren’t quite up to standard.
- Beyond the main gallery, there’s a portal to the Featured Theme of the Week.
- A new theme gallery launches every week. Since the main gallery is usually busy, your work may stand out more in the featured theme.
- Each artwork includes a Share Link button that opens a webpage, making it easy to share your creations outside the game.
- Players can sign in with a user account. After logging in, your username appears on artworks you create or edit.
- Other players can tap/click your username to browse everything you’ve made.
Helpful Tips
Finding the Shaft
To locate the shaft, leave the entrance room and walk forward about six rooms. You’ll reach a tall chamber that stands higher than the rest. In dark mode, look for the white text “Reach the Top”. In light mode, the words may blend into the floor until you paint them.
Climbing the Shaft
- Press G to equip the paint gun.
- Press V to throw a paint grenade (it’s messy, but it works well).
- You’ll likely need a double jump, and sometimes an additional jump, to make it to the top.
- Shoot around the room using your weapon (or a mix of both tools) to reveal what you can use.
- Look for an invisible platform that only becomes visible when paint is applied.
- As you move between platforms, continue parkouring. When paint reveals a wall that acts like a platform, use a grenade to expose the matching platform on the other side, then double jump across.
- Keep repeating this process until you finally reach the summit.

Reaching the Summit
When you arrive at the top, jump onto the platform with two canvas templates. You can edit these freely. The game treats them as unedited “color canvases,” allowing other players to edit them too.
The first canvas displays your time—so climbing quickly matters. You can restart the game at any time to clear the paint from the canvases, which can help you complete the challenge faster.
Final Thoughts
Jump into a never-ending, constantly expanding gallery of collaborative, user-created artwork. The game includes 9 exclusive colors, plus features like a smaller brush size, brush smoothing, a line tool, canvas zoom, a studio for viewing your work/collected pieces, and an easel for saving drafts.
