Weapons

Weapons are grouped into three classes: melee, throwing, and firearms.

Melee weapons can sometimes have their attacks set to “delayed for extra damage.” In practice, the longer you hold the attack button, the more damage your strike can deal on contact.

Firearms are mostly limited by ammunition. When a firearm’s ammo is fully depleted, it will be placed on the ground (with the exception of the Bazooka, which disappears immediately). You’ll need to reload. While waiting to reload, the empty firearm may still be usable as a throwing weapon—with exceptions noted below.

Reloading works like this: bullet boxes only reload firearms. If multiple firearms are scattered around and you pick up a bullet box, the first firearm you pick up right after will be the one that gets reloaded with full ammo.

Throwing weapons are usually single-use, unless they can also be used for close-range melee attacks (for example, Knives and a broken Rod).

Firearms

  • Pistol: A standard firearm with minimal damage. It’s sometimes dropped by defeated Walther enemies. Holds 6 bullets.
  • Shotgun: A powerful room-clearing gun (PGS-12-like). It can damage multiple enemies if they’re “concentrated” along the shot path. Holds 6 cartridges.
  • Rifle: A variant that’s “less powerful but not worse” than the shotgun. It can appear naturally, or very rarely be dropped by defeated Poacher J./Gutter/Skinner enemies. When out of ammo, the rifle becomes a melee weapon. Holds 6 bullets.
  • Uzi: Automatic rapid-fire sub-machinegun. Holds up to 48 bullets.
  • M-16A1: Extremely rare. Like the Uzi, it holds up to 48 bullets, but its shots are slightly stronger. When out of ammo, it can also be used as a melee weapon, similar to the Rifle.
  • Bazooka: The rarest and most powerful weapon. Holds only 4 shots and then vanishes instantly after firing them—unless you reload before the final shot is used. If you choose to continue after losing your last life, you’ll receive a Bazooka automatically. Bazooka shots (like Grenade and TNT) can break enemies into pieces when they have low remaining health.

Throwing weapons

  • Grenade and TNT: Very powerful explosives.
