FratUniversity Introduction
FratUniversity FratUniversity is a casual story-driven visual novel where your decisions shape fraternity life. Build relationships, gain favor, unlock scene branches, and choose how you party, compete, or forge your own path.
FratUniversity
FratUniversity is a story-focused casual game that drops you into a brand-new university life. You’ll join a fraternity, explore its culture, and get pulled into friendships, rivalries, and escalating competition. What you decide along the way opens up different story routes and endings.
You’ll meet a wide range of characters and take part (or opt out) of different campus events—like parties and competitions—based on your preferences. By interacting with various characters, you can build their approval and unlock matching intimate scenes.
The game is currently receiving ongoing updates. Expect new story segments, additional characters, and more intimate animations over time—so keep an eye out for what’s next.
Gameplay
Welcome to FratUniversity, a branching narrative visual novel where your choices shape your college experience. As a new student thrust into the chaotic world of fraternity life, you’ll manage relationships, face competition, and deal with the social pressure that comes with campus politics.
Will you pledge to a fraternity and climb the ranks? Or will you refuse the system entirely? Will you party, compete, or create your own path? Your connections, your reputation, and your future are all in your hands.

Parallax Sprites
- Sprites shift as you move your mouse or touch your screen, creating a sense of depth and perspective.

Developer Notes
First, sorry for the long silence. It’s been a while since the last update. A big reason was that I got stuck in my own head a bit—second-guessing decisions, managing too many systems at once, and trying to push the project forward without feeling confident enough to talk about it publicly. Some improvements aren’t obvious from the outside, but they do strengthen the systems needed for future development.
That said, I’m really glad to finally share new content. It starts in the Gold Tier, but it will eventually be available for free on itch (Windows only for now—see the rest of the info for other platforms).

This year I began shifting toward a fully 3D version of the game. While that remains the long-term goal, accessibility is the biggest ongoing challenge. The 3D build isn’t available on Mac, mobile, or lower-end PCs yet, and performance is still an area I’m actively improving.
Because of that, I spent the last two months rebuilding the 3D game’s structure so it can be automatically converted into a 2D Ren’Py version. The aim is flexibility: develop around one core game while still supporting Ren’Py releases alongside it.
The first of these Ren’Py ports is coming soon and is already around 90% automated. However, it will include fewer options—for example, clothing will be more limited than in the first 2D tech demo, and the visual quality will be reduced compared to the 3D version for now. That should improve as the automation pipeline gets better. I want to keep these ports rolling out regularly while I continue pushing the more optimized 3D version that can eventually support Mac and mobile properly.
This update is very much a foundation update. It still feels a bit like a tech demo, but it introduces several important new systems and characters.

What’s New in This Update
- First Impression mechanic: When you meet new characters, you’ll be given clear options that affect how they perceive you and how the story reacts from that first interaction.
- Character Traits: Pick traits that influence your responses and help set up your own character arc.
- Sexuality: Define your character’s sexuality at the start. It may remain the same or begin a coming-out arc later.
- New intro sequence: This takes place before the original roommate scenes. You’ll meet Wes and Jesse, who introduce you to FratUniversity and help establish the game’s themes and mechanics early on.
