Love Dolls is a dark, adult-themed game where you take control of the main character (MC) and their friends—exchange students pulled into the hidden truths and escalating conspiracies surrounding “Love Dolls.” As events spiral into crisis, you’ll be asked to make choices that steer the story toward the outcome you want. Want a bright, happy ending—or a tragic route where everything collapses into depravity?

Each playthrough includes plenty of H-scene options, and the story branches based on what you decide. Love Dolls is still in development, with ongoing updates planned to add more endings and H-scene content for different characters, keeping new content coming for players.

Story of Love Dolls

You’re a 19-year-old student who has just arrived in Japan for a student exchange program. It’s supposed to be a mix of new culture, fresh experiences, and—maybe—real romance.

Traveling with you are:

• Julie’s best friend, Alice

Before the trip, you and Jackson made a pact: this is the moment to finally confess your feelings. The question is—will either of you actually follow through?

Most people don’t realize it, but Julie and Alice have a deeper reason for being in Japan. Three years ago, Julie’s sister Vanessa disappeared without a trace during her own exchange trip in the same country. Now Julie and Alice are determined to uncover what really happened. Will they find answers… or end up meeting the same mysterious fate?

And Japan itself may be stranger than it looks.

In a country struggling with intense loneliness, a company called Love Dolls has gained massive attention. Their lifelike androids are built to satisfy every desire—so convincingly that the difference between machine and human starts to blur. The company launched only three years ago, yet its popularity has skyrocketed. But how can these “dolls” look so real? And what’s hidden beneath their perfect appearance?

The plot unfolds with a broader, almost cinematic scope—covering more than just your character and expanding into the lives of the people around you. As the story progresses, your role grows more important. Your choices will ultimately shape the direction of the narrative, leading to one of several possible endings.

Changelog / Roadmap

Big announcement: Updates over the next year will focus on what’s coming to Love Dolls, including future changes and insights into a new project titled New Supporter Benefits and a Giveaway (as mentioned in the announcement).

Development approach update: Love Dolls will continue to be worked on, but the team is changing how updates are produced. Instead of large, slow “big updates,” the plan is to shift to smaller updates that arrive faster.

Why the change? A major plot milestone is expected in update 0.2. If big updates keep taking a long time to finish, the game would only be complete around update 0.7. The goal is to finish the game and reach the final point at 1.0. This doesn’t mean less content—just a different workflow to keep progress moving smoothly.

Update 0.21

Update 0.21 is planned to be released soon on itch.io. This update includes:

  • Sky Torture + Climax

• Additions to the Style Menu
  • Christmas Set

In January, the team aims to release 0.22, which should include the remaining side stories and, hopefully, additional animations. After that, development will move straight to 0.3.

New Supporter Benefit

The supporters have been given a new benefit that does not depend on a specific tier—it will be provided to EVERY supporter tier.

What it is: early testing. When the team has something new to share (such as a game segment without sound or early gameplay), they’ll share that build with supporters so they can help test it.

When builds are shared: only when the team believes the build is in a state suitable for testing.
