Home for Wayward Travellers Introduction
Home for Wayward Travellers Home for Wayward Travellers is an adult visual novel mixing sanctuary simulation and RPG. Shelter wayward strangers, keep morale high, solve time-rift puzzles, and shape relationships through choice-driven stories.
Home for Wayward Travellers
Home for Wayward Travellers is a visual novel made for mature audiences. It pairs stunning artwork with a mix of simulation and role-playing, delivering an immersive, story-driven experience. In this game, you step into the role of a shelter manager responsible for taking in people who’ve been stranded out of time and space.
Your goals are simple—but not always easy: keep your residents happy, nurture meaningful bonds, and stop time rifts from forming due to accidental, untimely interactions. As you collect time energy, you can also redesign your home’s layout, improving comfort and boosting the well-being of everyone inside.

Gameplay
Sanctuary Management Simulation
Run the shelter day to day. You’ll handle everything from allocating resources and upgrading facilities to planning activities that help maintain morale. A dynamic needs system means you must carefully balance comfort with safety—if travellers aren’t properly cared for, they may trigger unpredictable temporal events.
Temporal Anomaly Resolution
Track down and contain reality-warping incidents caused when residents interact with time in ways they shouldn’t. Stabilizing rifts happens through mini-games built around puzzle-solving. A Temporal Integrity Meter monitors overall stability; if it drops too far, the consequences can snowball into cascading paradoxes.
Relationship-Building Mechanics
Use conversation branches and personalized quests to learn each traveller’s background. Your decisions directly influence their emotional state and loyalty. As relationships grow, you may unlock special cooperative options during anomaly crises—plus romance-focused routes and subplots that can change how the story unfolds.
Deep Character Arcs
Meet characters from wildly different eras, such as a Victorian inventor, a futuristic soldier, or a prehistoric shaman. Each person brings their own quests and hidden pain. How you respond can lead to outcomes like redemption, departure, or tragedy.
Evolving Central Mystery
As anomalies intensify, you’ll piece together the truth from fragmented logs, resident testimony, and hidden clues. The twists reveal a darker influence manipulating time—pushing you to form alliances with unexpected allies or even former foes.

Changelog
- 22 new quests added.
- Reworked timing for a sequence involving Amy: locked the “hands meeting” moment to occur after Amy is injured, so she isn’t referenced before it happens in the tank.
- Fixed Yumi’s quest failing to continue after her first kiss when playing the non-lesbian route. This was a major issue that went unnoticed for far too long—apologies for the delay.
- Fixed Abby’s text at the start of the pool event showing Amy’s name in the text box instead of Abby’s.
- Corrected some grammar issues in the pool event.
- Fixed various errors in the lab quests.

Developer Notes
- This is the developer’s first game and also their first attempt at tasks like coding rendering and writing.
- In free roam: when you load a save, it currently starts you at the beginning of the free roam section. The developer notes that no actual progress is lost, though they don’t yet know how to change the behavior.
- Additional future updates were mentioned, but the provided notes appear to be incomplete.
