VelociDrone Introduction

VelociDrone VelociDrone is a thrilling drone racing simulator for Android. Pick your favorite quad, compete worldwide, improve control, and climb the leaderboard with smooth FPV-style action.

VelociDrone

VelociDrone is a drone racing simulation where you can pick the drone that fits your style and jump into fast races against pilots around the world. Push your flying skills to the limit—dodge, out-turn, and outmaneuver every opponent to take the win. Keep an eye on the leaderboards and prove your best times.

If you want to level up faster, you can also watch other players’ race videos to learn new lines, setups, and techniques—then apply that knowledge to improve your own control.

VelociDrone

The game also supports remote control for drones from multiple brands, helping make your overall experience smoother and easier.

Settings in VelociDrone

Audio

  • Music Volume: Adjusts the volume for all in-game music, including menu tracks and any musical effects used during gameplay.
  • SFX Volume: Controls the loudness of UI interactions and other sound effects (like gate pass sounds, wind, and bird ambience).
  • Quad Motor Volume: Sets the volume of the motors for the quad you’re flying.

Display & Performance

  • Resolution: Sets the screen DPI (dots per inch) used by the UI. Very low values can make text look blurry on high-resolution displays. Choose a DPI that keeps the interface comfortable to read. On modern high-end devices, you can raise this to the maximum. Note: higher DPI values can reduce simulator frame rates.
  • VelociDrone

  • Quality: Controls how much graphical processing is used to make visuals look better.
    • At the lowest quality, effects like shadows, bloom, and post-processing are turned off.
    • At higher quality levels, shadows, bloom, and color post-processing are enabled.
This option can noticeably impact performance—especially when shadows are enabled at higher levels. It’s recommended to set resolution first, then adjust quality while watching your in-game FPS.
  • Target FPS: Sets the frame rate the simulator aims to run at. Ideally, match it to your screen’s refresh rate (Hz).
    • For a 60Hz screen, there’s no benefit setting this to 120.
    • If you have a 120Hz screen but your device can’t hold 120 FPS, it’s perfectly fine to use a lower target.
Lowering target FPS can also help reduce overheating on phones. Keep in mind the simulator feels significantly better at 120 FPS on a 120Hz display than at 60 FPS on a 60Hz one.

Race Assistance & Upload

  • Gate Indicator Colour: Changes the color of gate indicators while racing.
  • Auto Upload Times: Automatically uploads your race time at the end of a run, so you don’t need to press the submit button manually.

Controller Connectivity

VelociDrone

  • ELRS Enabled: Enables ELRS WiFi support for controller connection. Leave this disabled if you’re connecting via OTG cable or Bluetooth (including ELRS BE).

Key Features of VelociDrone

Thousands of Tracks

VelociDrone includes over one thousand tracks with the base license. There’s also an online library containing more than forty thousand additional tracks you can download from inside the simulator.

You’ll always have new places to fly, with community activity including ongoing races and weekly time trials. All tracks are created by the community using the simulator’s built-in track editor.

Popular tracks are promoted and automatically installed for users, ensuring fresh content every week. Track creation and promotion are fully community-driven—meaning the track ecosystem is built, maintained, and expanded by the community.

Advanced Flight Aerodynamics

VelociDrone uses a proprietary physics and aerodynamics system built around real aerodynamic principles. It includes:

  • Real aerodynamics calculations for prop thrust
  • NACA curves for prop profiles
  • End-to-end simulation of the quad, including battery behavior (voltage and current)
  • ESC behavior modeled using real ESC code, including throttle ramping, braking, and motor control ratios
  • Fully simulated motor response using current, voltage, and KV ratings, plus coil resistance and torque simulation
  • Full aerodynamic drag simulation for the frame

This is why VelociDrone is widely known for top-tier flight physics—because the simulation is taken seriously, resulting in handling that’s closer to real flight. That also makes it easier to transfer skills from the simulator to real-world flying, which is why many of the fastest pilots practice in VelociDrone regularly.

Track Editor

VelociDrone includes one of the most capable track editors available. It provides gate layouts designed for most major racing leagues, using standard gate sizes.

VelociDrone

The editor offers over two thousand unique objects, including gates, barriers, trees, and other urban props—so you can build not only gate layouts, but entire environments to fly through.

Large Selection of Quads

The base license includes five-inch racing quads and three-inch toothpick quads.
