TUNNEL ESCAPE - Fates Entwined Introduction
TUNNEL ESCAPE - Fates Entwined Run from zombies into a mysterious lab and undergo strange mutations. Fight relentless hordes, unlock Gene Codex abilities, and upgrade gear—while evolving zones and hazards test your survival.
TUNNEL ESCAPE - Fates Entwined
In TUNNEL ESCAPE - Fates Entwined, you’re running for your life from zombies when you stumble into a strange laboratory. Something there changes you, and suddenly your mission becomes clear: help save humanity. Expect constant zombie pressure as you push back with a variety of weapons, earn rewards, and use them to strengthen your skills and gear.
If you’re overwhelmed and lose, you’ll see a defeat cutscene—which can also unlock additional animated sequences. The game also includes gamepad support, including vibration/force feedback and customizable button layouts so you can tailor controls to your preference.
Key Features
Evolving Mutation Zones
- Explore a collapsing underground facility where rooms can rearrange themselves.
- New enemy types may appear, including fungal zombies and liquid flesh horrors.
- Environmental dangers shift over time, such as acidic slime geysers.
Procedural Skill Synthesis
- During a run, you can discover unstable Gene Codex abilities.
- Abilities may include effects like temporary cloaking or explosive pheromone bursts.
- Cooldowns are randomized, and using these mutations carries mutation risk.
Facility Lore Fragments
- Decode corrupted lab logs and piece together memories from mutated corpses.
- Learn how the apocalypse began, unlocking new paths and sometimes triggering deadly boss encounters.
Tactical Environmental Kills
- Pull zombies into malfunctioning machinery or unstable biopods for gruesome takedowns.
- These kills can grant bonus ammo or rare gene codes.
- Be careful: loud actions may draw in larger swarms.

Hazardous Resource Economy
- Manage health kits, adrenaline shots, and sanity stabilizers.
- Overuse can cause temporary hallucinations, including distorted maps or altered enemy appearances.
Weapon Degradation Dynamics
- Customize firearms using scavenged parts.
- Overusing weapons can lead to jams or even backfires.
- You’ll need to weigh repairs and resource spending against dangerous close-quarters “H-event” triggers.
Highlights
- Full support for one-handed play: You can control the game smoothly with a single hand (left or right), or use both if you prefer.
- Handcrafted H-scenes: H-scenes are carefully produced with hand-drawn animation techniques, controlled pacing via scripting, and include voiceovers. Variations may include expressions, voiceover changes, particle effects, subtle body motion, and more.
- Lots of variation and detailed effects: Scene changes respond to the protagonist’s state, affecting what you see during H-scenes.
- Random encounter events: Learn hundreds of skills that may appear during gameplay and develop your character using what you find.
- Four unique firearms: You can switch weapons at any time during combat to change your tactics.
- Precise management of adrenaline: Adrenaline can be adjusted through sexual intercourse or by using drugs.
- Controller vibration / force feedback: Detailed haptics are provided for actions like shots and insertions, giving a more tactile feel. Since the game includes many interactions that need feedback, additional force feedback is planned to be added over time. Try the vibration settings if you can.

Changelog
- New H Event: Every adventurer is fascinated by ancient treasure chests.
- New Item – Smoke Grenade:
- Use it in battle to escape the current fight.
- You won’t receive any loot from the smoke grenade itself.
- Especially useful for avoiding unnecessary resource spending before a boss encounter.
- New Item – Lucky Coin: The coin is only “lucky” if you are.
- New Squirt x3
- New FX Added:
- Replaced the unusual visual effect used in the Pirate Mouse event with a newly purchased effect pack from Dreams Circle.

Player Comments
One player says they usually wouldn’t review games like this, but the music stood out immediately—mentioning artists such as Infraction. They also note the gameplay can feel repetitive, though they feel it’s forgivable when done well. Their main concern is whether you can handle the initially steep prices for weapons from the merchant; they add that replaying stages can help you get rewarded.
