Earn Experience Points (XP)

To increase your experience level, you’ll need experience points. This comes naturally as you play: earn XP by playing songs you haven’t played before and by completing levels that include those songs.

Your first time clearing a song/level typically gives you the most XP. You can also replay older songs for an easier grind, though the XP gain is usually smaller than going for new tracks.

If you’re grinding, look for easy songs—you can stay in Endless Mode longer. The deeper you go in Endless Mode, the more experience points you can expect to earn.
