Lost Times is a bold adult role-playing visual novel where you step into the role of a careful gatekeeper responsible for defending a hidden vault. From behind the walls, you must keep the residents safe from what waits beyond—while navigating corruption, depravity, bribery, and constant moral trade-offs. Set in a dangerous post-apocalyptic world, the game challenges you to use your position, patience, and cunning to rise in power and reputation.

Wonderful Storyline

The adventure unfolds inside a secluded vault known as the “Secret Vault.” You are the one standing at the gates. Each day, outsiders arrive, and your decisions decide who gets admitted. Choose poorly and you risk bringing danger to the vault; choose wisely and you gain power, status, and fresh opportunities.

There’s no helpful guide telling you what the “right” option is. In this place, everything has consequences—and consequences always come with a cost. Within the vault, three major factions fight hard to win your favor, and your choices shape how relationships grow.

As the gatekeeper, your key duties include:

• Survive day after day inside the vault
• Decide who enters when outsiders arrive
• Earn trust from multiple factions
• Protect the vault from threats outside the walls

Amazing Gameplay

Gameplay centers on four core attributes: Security, Reputation, Intelligence, and Power. The in-game currency is VEX. Your decisions—and how your attributes are set—affect dialogue, events, and which routes you can take.

The portal loop restarts daily, but nothing is truly “reset” in the story’s meaning. Each choice adds weight to what follows, pushing the narrative toward new outcomes. What you do today may become the bill you pay tomorrow.

Recruitment and financial pressure

You can do more than just let outsiders in—you can recruit them. New members bring direct benefits, such as improved security, increased productivity, or support for intelligence. However, every recruit also adds an expense: each person you bring in counts as a VEX salary/weekly cost.

So attempting to “recruit everyone” will eventually bankrupt you. Managing your finances becomes essential, because when your VEX drops:

• Your options and effectiveness decline
• Risk levels rise
• Your control steadily slips away

Fantastic Characters

Guardians (Leader Garrick)

• Focus on security and order
• Value discipline, control, and strict rules
• See the greatest danger as coming from internal weakness, even the smallest breach

Every gate-related decision is treated like an ongoing evaluation. Once you make a mistake, you won’t forget it.

Spark (Leader Thorne)

• Runs the Sanctuary like an engine
• Controls electricity, maintenance, production, resources, and daily operations

Thorne’s attitude is straightforward: “We need useful people.” Admit the right outsiders and everything runs smoothly. Admit the wrong ones and operations stall.

Lightbringers (Leader Vesila)

This faction handles rituals and purification, working alongside Isolde. Together they represent a dangerous balancing force within the Sanctuary—part semi-religious belief, part semi-scientific theory.

They think intense light can suppress mutation, and that purification rituals—hovering near the edge of experimentation—can achieve their aims. Vesila acts as the political voice, while Isolde serves as the authority behind the rituals, often called the “Voice of Light.”

Getting close to the Lumens can bring major advantages, but it may also demand a steep price.
