Story

The adventure kicks off in a forest near Riders Village. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—stumble across a glowing egg.

They try a playful imitation of the Rite of Kinship, not expecting anything… but the ritual actually works.

Soon, the egg hatches into a baby Rathalos, a flying wyvern also called “the King of the Skies.” The trio lovingly name him Ratha and bring him back to the village.

But days later, the village is attacked by a monster corrupted by “the Black Blight.” The heroes manage to drive it away, yet it still leaves the town in ruins and scars the hearts of Cheval and Lilia.

A year passes…

The hero receives a Kinship Stone from the Village Chief and becomes an official Rider. Cheval and Lilia both leave, each choosing their own path. Now separated from childhood friends, the hero teams up with the upbeat Navirou and begins a brand-new journey across the world of hunters.

The Player

A new Rider with a big curiosity for what lies beyond home. Born and raised in the green highlands of Hakum Village, you’re drawn to the outside world and set out on your journey with your dependable “pawtner” Navirou.

Lilia

A bright, polite, and dependable girl—one of your closest childhood friends. She’s full of energy and always helps keep the group moving forward.

Cheval

Another close friend of the player and a Rider-in-the-making. He’s gentle and well-mannered, but he’s determined to become a Rider himself.

Navirou

Your mysterious Felyne traveling partner. Navirou supports you during your adventure—though he looks unique, and much about him remains unknown. The one thing that’s always clear? He loves donuts.

Avinia

A Rider from another village. She travels beside her trusted Monstie, Frostfang, a Barioth. Since she’s a Rider like you, you may wonder why she approaches things so differently…

Reverto

An exceptionally skilled Hunter. As you get to know him, he teaches you what Hunters value most. He’s a top-tier professional who holds the Guild in high regard.
