In 9th Dawn III, you set out on an adventure through a huge open world. Strange ghostly happenings have been reported across the land, so you’ll cross the continent to investigate—roaming through wilderness areas, snowy regions, and dangerous dungeons as you search for the truth.

You’ll fight all kinds of enemies, combining your weapons and tactics to bring them down. Defeated foes leave behind materials and gold you can use to craft stronger gear, including weapons and armor. Along the way, you can also enjoy a variety of mini-games—some rewards even unlock a full card deck.

Fighting strange new monsters

The creatures you encounter are the monsters created by a mad king. Expect nearly 300 frightening monster types—many you’ve never seen before—appearing throughout the game. Each monster type has its own patterns for movement, attacks, and durability.

Because their numbers can rise quickly, you can’t rely on brute force alone. The key is to keep collecting loot, opening treasures, and using rare materials to strengthen yourself over time.

Collect loot from every battle

Every time you defeat an enemy, it drops useful items you can pick up. In total, there are almost 2,000 loot items to find. Loot is split into two main categories: 30% from weapon drops, and 70% from other practical items you can craft yourself—such as armor pieces, shields, and accessories.

Don’t ignore small drops. Even seemingly minor items have value. Early on, the sheer volume of items can feel overwhelming, but they typically fall into specific groups (weapons vs. equipment). Once your collection is complete, items are sorted automatically into the appropriate sections, which you can review and use later.

Craft to upgrade weapons and gear

Using monster loot and treasures you find on your travels, you’ll gather many small components and misc items—each with its own effect. Weapons can be adjusted and swapped to give you more flexible combat advantages.

Equipment can support and supplement what you’re already using, or even be reassembled to create protective gear (such as shields and armor). Later, you can further tweak equipment by adding new parts or changing individual components. Equipment details may also depend on features added to weapons, helping your original weapons gain extra power and unique attack capabilities.

Character development through your special abilities

As the Chosen One, you possess strange powers. As you fight monsters, you’ll slowly understand what you can do—and combat is the main way you discover your magic.

By choosing which spells to learn, you can develop your character around different attributes. There are countless magic enhancement paths, so your build can grow in the direction that matches your preferred play style.
