Granny Chapter 3 is a first-person survival horror game. In this chapter, Grandpa and Grandma have moved into a brand-new house, and the place is more tightly secured than before—complete with a moat.
You play as a trapped prisoner who must search the entire house within five days. Your job is to collect tools and items that help you solve puzzles and eventually break free.
Staying alive means being constantly alert. Any careless movement can create noise and draw Grandpa and Grandma’s attention. To buy yourself time, you can use objects in the environment to make distractions—then reposition to work through puzzles safely.
The game includes difficulty options: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme. Higher difficulties also increase how quickly Grandpa and Grandma react, including faster movement and improved agility, making each trip through the house more dangerous.
Gameplay Overview
Throughout the map, the main threats are Granny, Grandpa, and Slendrina. Their objective is to catch you and keep you from escaping until they can knock you unconscious.
When you’re knocked out, you’ll be sent to the next day, returned to your cell, and pushed closer to the final countdown—your last day is Day 5.
After Day 5 ends, the game triggers a random cutscene showing your execution, followed by the message: Game Over.

Your main objective is to find items that help you:
- Solve puzzles
- Unlock access to new areas
- Escape the house

There are two escape routes you can work toward:
- Escape through the entrance gate
- Escape via the train
How to Survive Encounters

You can defend yourself using weapons. Some weapons can knock Grandpa and Grandma unconscious for a limited time. If direct confrontation isn’t safe, you can also hide—like in closets or under beds.
Slendrina’s Special Condition
Slendrina remains a threat until you perform a specific task: once you place a teddy bear into a crib in the attic, a short scene plays. After that, Slendrina disappears from the game and an important item spawns in her place.

Granny reacts quickly to things like dropped items, squeaky floors, and other noises—so careless movement draws her attention fast.
Grandpa has weaker hearing, but he patrols with a shotgun and will fire at what he sees. This means you must constantly manage both:

- Line of sight (to avoid Grandpa)

Slendrina Demands Quick Reactions
Slendrina can show up suddenly. If you keep staring too long, her presence can end your run. The solution is simple but immediate: look away right away to reduce the danger and regain control of the situation.
Stealth, Sound Control, and Hiding
You steer your risk level by moving carefully and using distractions when the timing is right.
- After making noise, get to a safe spot
- Hide under beds, behind sofas, or inside closets
- Wait until patrol sounds fade
- Then move with a clear route planned
A Mansion Full of Routes (Plus Moat Hazards)
The mansion includes many rooms, hallways, and outdoor paths. Enemies patrol these areas using different routes, so you can’t rely on one “safe” path forever.
The moat and certain surfaces also increase risk. Because of this, you’ll want to plan crossings carefully and approach areas quietly.
Studying patrol patterns before committing to a route helps you avoid surprise encounters.
