In DOKDO, you start out by piloting a small boat and freely roaming the open ocean. Your goal is to gather coins, collect resources, and keep improving your ship. You can also fish in the sea for supplies or take part in ship-to-ship fights to steadily strengthen your vessel.

The game includes a full trading and port system: you can trade items, repair your ship, and buy or sell resources such as food, minerals, and upgrade materials. In battles, success depends on reading the enemy’s movement and firing at the right moment to sink opposing ships and claim the resources they drop.

Walkthrough Notes

Starting Out

When you begin, you’re dropped onto a small island with little guidance about the objective. The game doesn’t feel like it has a single obvious “goal,” and fully maxing everything can be challenging. You start with a Level 1 ship covering upgrades for Body, Sail, Steering, Cannon, and Fishing (all at level 1).

Upgrade steps come in intervals: at Body level 1, you can raise the other skills up to 10. After upgrading Body to level 2, the interval drops to 5 per level.

Islands

Islands on your map do more than just look interesting. They unlock new market prices and let you heal your ship across the map.

• Main map: 28 islands, each with 5 enemy ships (enemy ship levels vary).
• Pisa region: 19 islands, each with 10 ships (enemy ship levels also vary).

Steering (Upgrade Tip)

Steering is very useful because it increases your ship’s turning ability. This helps a lot when fighting higher-level ships and is especially handy for taking control of areas in Pisa and on the main map. Think of steering as your game’s version of dodging and weaving. Once your steering skill is maxed, avoiding shots becomes easier, and you’ll also have an easier time collecting loot afterward.

Cannons (Upgrade Tip)

Cannons are straightforward: the number of cannons you have increases based on your Cannon level and your ship level. As the player’s upgrades increase, the cannon setup becomes stronger and more effective in combat.
