Changelog

Date Ariane

Date Ariane Remastered 2.0 is a full remake of the original Date Ariane, featuring completely new wide-screen HD visuals. For the first time in the series, you can play as a male or a female.

What’s New in 2.0

  • NEW! Default resolution is now 2560 x 1440. This stands out even more on 3K or 4K monitors thanks to updated Daz renders. The game still runs well in 1080p.
  • NEW! Updated player character avatars with improved looks.
  • NEW! The start of the game has been drastically reworked, including new introductory text and rearranged early events—especially the first segment.
  • NEW! The entire music set has been changed. Music from Tune Pocket was added, including tracks for “Drive downtown” and the “Museum tour.”
  • Date Ariane

  • NEW! Text now defaults to a standard Visual Novel layout: text appears at the bottom with a color-coded name showing who is speaking. You can switch back to the classic “comic” mode from versions 1.0–1.5.
  • Date Ariane

  • NEW! Removed the help-screen walkthroughs. The game now experiments with emoji icons next to certain choices that might be risky. They are optional. There’s also an “Anxiety” mode inspired loosely by The Stanley Parable, acting as a tutorial for the first part of the game (also optional).
  • NEW! Added background music plus a dedicated volume control. You can play or mute it like a typical Visual Novel feature. The soundtrack is designed to feel relaxing or fun to match the game’s vibe. All background music loops.

Player Comments

  • “It’s a great game!” Even now, it still surprises with how many endings and how much content there is. While it doesn’t have a single “plot” in the traditional sense, the story centers around the main character, Ariane:love:, who anchors everything. The graphics are top-tier—big thanks to the developers for a project this good. And the five-star rating is absolutely deserved.
  • “A classic!” They really don’t make games like this anymore (if they ever did). The design is brilliant in its simplicity: it’s a game you can explore hundreds of times, with runs that take only a few minutes, and a huge variety of outcomes. Try chasing all the achievements, then use the built-in walkthrough to find what you missed (though it doesn’t appear to cover everything). You won’t get stuck reading endless, poorly written VN filler, and you won’t have to grind meaningless stats until you start resenting the NPC you’re pursuing. Unlike many multi-path games where most choices lead to dull “game over” endings, this one makes you search for the right way through—like finding a needle in a haystack.
  • Date Ariane

  • “Play it for five minutes.” If you like it, replay it again and again. If not, you can move on without losing anything. It doesn’t feel like every choice matters in the same way—just remember that Ariane doesn’t like jerks—yet good content is easy to find because each choice sends you down a different direction. Re-discovery is harder, though, because every run steers differently.
  • “Only letdown: the sex scenes.” They feel a bit underwhelming, and it would be great to have more control during those scenes.
  • “First adult game I ever played.” It introduced me to games like this and eventually helped inspire me to develop games myself—so it earns 5 stars. Memories… It was a good game from back then, and it has tons of options. It also seems like it received a makeover with newer renders.

Walkthrough of Date Ariane

Pants Off at the Park

This route is about as short as #2 and is almost an ideal start. You’re only missing one dance, but it quickly leads into a nightclub scene—so it’s pretty simple to wrap up. It’s also a romantic opening that carries you into a fancy restaurant. This walkthrough has been updated to work properly with the HD version.
