We’re genuinely glad you enjoy mixing with YouDJ. As mentioned earlier, YouDJ is built by passionate people—not “an evil company” :). In this section, we explain how we use information and what you should or shouldn’t do with YouDJ. Nothing here is surprising—these are standard legal points, but we still need to include them for transparency.

What are the terms of use for YouDJ?

YouDJ is a multi-platform DJ mixer. There are no usage limits—you can use it as much as you want. However, you must not copy YouDJ without permission, and you must not try to modify, hack, or crack the YouDJ apps or websites, even if you purchased a license. Just be fair and use common sense.

What are the terms for YouTube?

YouTube allows YouDJ to access its services through the YouTube API (since 2015). Thanks to YouTube for that. We don’t control YouTube, so we can’t be held responsible for changes YouTube may make. By using YouDJ, you agree to follow and respect YouTube’s terms of use, privacy policy, and copyright policy.

Since YouDJ doesn’t include a YouTube login, we don’t access any YouTube user information. We also don’t collect data about how you use YouTube inside YouDJ.

Music copyright

YouDJ does not host any music. Copyright rules are defined entirely by the artists, labels, or rights holders. Buying a YouDJ license doesn’t grant you any rights to the music itself. If you need specific permissions, contact the relevant artists or labels directly.

What information we collect

• If you’re not registered, we don’t store any information about you.
• If you are registered, the only personal data we store on our servers is:
  • your email
  • or your Facebook ID / Google ID (depending on how you log in)

  

  • your full name

Important: We do not have access to your Facebook or Google account, profile, or password.

To keep you signed in, we use Facebook and Google login tools, and an email-login cookie if you chose email sign-in.

We also use Statcounter, a common analytics tool, to understand how many people visit the site each day.

In short: we don’t record your activity on the site—so you can enjoy YouDJ freely, and no one will be able to see what you do.

How we use information

Your personal details are used only for logging in. Also, very important: we do not share your information with anyone, and we never will. We don’t send your data to Google, YouTube, SoundCloud, Facebook, or anyone else.

Payment safety

Payments are handled by PayPal or Stripe, not by YouDJ. We never see your credit card details—we only receive a payment confirmation. Because of that, we can’t charge you without your consent. Make sure you review PayPal and Stripe’s strict rules for online transactions.

Ad trackers

As you may have noticed, the website has no ads. The site was created out of passion, and we dislike ads just as much as you probably do. Because of this, there are no ad trackers on the site. However, the YouTube player is still hosted on YouTube, so ads may appear inside YouTube videos.

Emailing

No spam. We won’t send your email to anyone. We may use your email for account-related actions (like resetting your password) or for YouDJ information campaigns. You can unsubscribe from those campaign messages.
