How do I find the merchant id on iFood?

To get the merchant id, the user responsible for the merchant should open the Partner Portal, then go to My Store → Store. The merchant id appears right below the store name.

Why can an order have zero value?

iFood and its partners run promotional campaigns using discount coupons. In some cases, a coupon can cover the entire order total—meaning there’s nothing left to charge at delivery, resulting in a zero value.

In other situations, the full payment may be made through the app (ONLINE). In both cases, iFood transfers the amount to the restaurant during the next transfer cycle.

Does the API support more than one client/device at the same time?

Yes. The API Events and Orders module supports multiple devices connected simultaneously and manages event delivery separately per device. Here, “device” means any client device that can consume API events and orders—for example:

• POS instance
• Order Manager Desktop
• Order Manager Android

For each device, a unique internal id is created. During each polling request, new store events are made available for that specific device. Once the device sends an ACK for the events it received, the system identifies the device and controls which device has already processed the events.
