Mercava is an advanced Jewish learning platform available on PC, Mac, tablets, and mobile phones. It’s completely free, built to help Jewish education feel engaging, enjoyable, and easy to access for learners around the world.

With interactive books and learning materials—including activities, videos, images, 3D models, maps, and notes—Mercava helps traditional texts come alive in a fresh, modern way.

A major strength of Mercava is its huge library of thousands of Torah works. You can explore core texts such as Talmud Bavli, Yerushalmi, Tanach, Mishna, Shulchan Aruch, Rambam, Mishna Brurah, and many more.

For reading, Mercava provides both traditional and modern layouts for these sources, so you can learn in a format that suits you. There’s also a dedicated control center that lets you move through the text phrase by phrase or word by word.

Beyond the library, Mercava includes several built-in educational apps:

• CHAVRUTA: A built-in group chat for discussions based on selected texts.
• LIVE: Turn your group into a live session and manage what others see on their screens.
• ALEFBOT: An inline learning helper for Talmud-related measurements, date conversions, and Gematria calculations.
• WRITER: Create personal notes, articles, and source sheets.

Security and Privacy

Just like a school campus has doors, locks, and security, Mercava keeps your learning space protected. As an MVP, you’ll be given a closed, secure network so your learning environment stays safe, focused, and controlled.

Personal School URL

Your school receives its own subdomain: yourschool.themercava.com. Domain names are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Grades and Classes

Organize students by grade and class. Teachers can distribute assignments to the entire class, and students can collaborate smoothly with one another.

Admin Control

MVP schools can create supervised student accounts. In the near future, school administrators will also be able to choose and filter which apps and content are available for their school.

Online Support

MVPs get access to a dedicated online support team. The team can help troubleshoot issues and assist your school in getting the most out of Mercava’s tools and content.

Onsite Training

Mercava-certified educational technologists are available to visit schools and provide training and support for teachers and staff.
