Sonic Racing Introduction
Sonic Racing Pick your favorite character and race through shifting tracks in Sonic Racing. Drive transforming vehicles across land, water, and sky while mastering dynamic routes to outplay every opponent.
Sonic Racing

Sonic Racing is an eagerly awaited racing experience where you can pick from a lineup of well-known characters from the Sonic universe and jump into different game modes. Choose your vehicle, race through a variety of tracks, and use your driving skills to pass every rival and cross the finish line first.
A standout mechanic in Sonic Racing is its vehicle transformation system. As stages move across different environments—such as water and sky sections—you’ll need to switch forms to keep moving smoothly and finish strong. The game is also built with mobile performance in mind, running smoothly on devices like smartphones and tablets, so you can race anytime, anywhere.
Gameplay Overview

- Playable characters include Ryo Hazuki (Shenmue), Amigo (Samba de Amigo), Joe Musashi (Shinobi series), and the Crazy Taxi driver, among others.
- The big upgrade in Sonic Racing Transformed compared to earlier entries is transforming vehicles. Your vehicles can adapt to track conditions by changing between land, air, and sea routes.
- Graphics: The presentation is especially impressive on high-end tablets, though some lower-power Android devices may experience performance drops.
Key Features
-
Transforming vehicles
Sonic Racing Transformed switches between car, boat, and plane within a single race. The change occurs as the track moves across land, sea, and air. You retain control during each switch, and handling updates to match the vehicle type.
-
Dynamic courses
Tracks evolve as you drive. You can discover alternative routes, find power-ups, and watch for new hazards as you progress—so every lap feels different and you must stay alert and plan ahead.
-
Built for mobile
Optimized for quick sessions and steady progress, the game includes mobile-friendly modes. Controls support touch, tilt steering, and (where supported) a controller. You can switch to the control style that feels best.
Note: Before downloading, be aware the game uses interest-based ads and precise location data. Review the publisher’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for details.
-
Multiplayer and social racing
Race against friends through online competitive matches with up to four players, or play on the same network. Time challenges help you compare results, and Facebook integration can display friend profile pictures on the track.

Useful Tips
-
Use the starting boost system for a faster launch
Don’t rely on muscle memory from other racers—here you build your edge with a starting boost. Hold the acceleration button at the start of the race until the meter reaches the green zone.
-
About power-sliding in Sonic Racing: Crossworlds (and turning assist)
At the beginning of each race, there’s an option for turning assist—avoid enabling it unless you’re helping a very young player who crashes easily. When I enabled it at first, I felt like I couldn’t control my kart well, which made shortcuts and weaving between racers much harder. For most players, you’ll want full control.
Water power-slide tip: You can power-slide even in the water. You don’t even need to turn—hold the power-slide button in a straight line to build boosts.

-
Save defensive items for the right moment
Items can be especially strict here. If you’re leading, don’t expect a huge gap—others have plenty of tools to catch up. Because of that, don’t spend defensive items immediately. Even a basic hazard thrown behind you can save you if someone locks onto you. You can still drop weapons after being targeted, but it’s smarter to hold defensive options until you truly need them.
Player Comment
One player noticed something unexpected during time trials: they could equip any car part on any character, and the game allowed them to use the parts even without owning them. They weren’t sure if that’s intended, but still enjoyed getting full gold gear without spending.
