Learning Where To Upgrade Gear

Just north of where you begin is a small coastal town near Pawt Purvanna. In this area, you can improve your equipment:

• Kidd Cat runs a weapon shop where gear can be enhanced for a small fee.
• Mage Bonney operates a magic shop to strengthen spells.
• A pub may occasionally point you toward typical RPG-style side quests.

Even though the shops are useful, don’t upgrade immediately. Since Cat Quest III plays heavily around loot, spending currency early can be inefficient. Loot is plentiful—whether from hidden world-map finds or treasures tucked inside caves—so early upgrades may get replaced quickly.

Healing Like A Good White Meowage

Checkpoint stations are helpful for healing, and they also support co-op access. However, healing isn’t limited to checkpoints or leveling up. Because this is an open-world sailing game, you can reach excellent early locations that let you recover more than once as you explore.

It’s especially important to visit the Lovepurr Islands, where Lovepurr Castle is located. From there, you can begin a side quest chain (and keep the momentum going as you advance).
