Love n Life: Happy Student Introduction
Love n Life: Happy Student Love n Life: Happy Student is a choice-driven casual game set at Lingyun University. Handle financial stress with part-time work, manage study and dating, and build deeper bonds to unlock scenes.
Love n Life: Happy Student

Love n Life: Happy Student is a casual, story-first game built around meaningful choices. You start your life as a new student at the well-known Lingyun University. Because money is tight, you’ll share a home with a girl and pick up part-time work in places like cafés and other shops to keep things afloat.
Progress depends on how you juggle three things at once: studying, dating, and part-time shifts. You must also manage your energy carefully to move the story forward and grow the girls’ affection. As the semester continues, your relationships deepen—unlocking more memorable scenes and animated moments tied to each character.
There’s also more planned for the future, including DLC, new costumes, and additional gameplay, so keep an eye out for updates.
Characters

The game’s cast is one of its core strengths. The girls you meet aren’t just romance targets—they feel like real people with distinct traits, personal ambitions, and private details of their own.
Liu Yating
Liu Yating is a free-spirited, adventurous classmate who loves exploring and having fun. She becomes a fast friend, but her flirtatious streak can blur the line between casual camaraderie and something more.
Chen Meiling
Chen Meiling is both your literature teacher and the manager of the dormitory. She’s warm, playful, and genuinely passionate about books and learning. Interactions with her carry an interesting push-pull between her professional role and her personal side.
Qin Yilin
As president of the student council, Qin Yilin is cold, strategic, and relentlessly focused on academic results. She expects everyone to reach a high standard and believes discipline and intelligence are what make greatness possible. Can you look past her guarded exterior and find the softer person underneath?
And More…
Beyond these three, you’ll meet additional women with mysterious backgrounds throughout your journey. Each one brings a unique story and hidden depth. Some may support you, others may mislead you—but all of them influence how your college adventure unfolds.
Key Features
Inventory Management Mechanics

Unlike many traditional dating games, this one adds a strategic layer: the items you collect can affect dialogue options and relationship outcomes. Managing your gifts, books, and other resources well is essential if you want to win hearts.
Interactive Mini-Games
Take part in skill-based activities such as fishing, basketball, and cooking. Successfully completing these challenges can boost your stats and create chances to connect with characters.
Branching Story and Choice Impact
Your decisions during dynamic conversations influence affinity with key characters. That means multiple routes, and different endings depending on what you choose over the course of the semester.
Social Simulation
Use the in-game smartphone system to send messages, follow social updates, and set up meetups—designed to feel closer to real communication and boost immersion.
Diverse Personalities
You’ll encounter a variety of characters, including:
- Liu Yating, the cheerful classmate
- Chen Meiling, the kind literature teacher
- Qin Yilin, the disciplined student council president

Each person comes with their own preferences and quests.
Relationship Building
Strengthen bonds through tailored interactions—like picking the right gifts or completing missions specific to each character. These actions can unlock special scenes and Live2D-style animated moments.
Player Comments
- Positive: One player described the opening as instantly captivating, praising the vibrant visuals, high-quality animations, and a mysterious plot that pulls you in right away. They also highlighted how polished and well-designed the mechanics feel, from the management system and social interactions to inventory and battle items.
- Criticism: Another review mentioned the pacing can become repetitive. Even if the lore is interesting, the dialogue may be longer than expected—so much so that they were constantly hitting the skip button.
- CG Variety Concerns: A common disappointment was the lack of CG variety. Despite having diverse locations and deeper systems, some players felt the same “flashback-style” animation is reused in places where variety would be expected. They also felt the more adult mechanics didn’t match the different environments and ended up feeling repetitive.
- Overall Verdict: One reviewer said the core effort is impressive and that, if the game weren’t marked Completed, they would have rated it 5 stars for its potential. Since it’s already in the completed state, they settled on 4 (about 3.5), calling it a near-masterpiece that stopped just short of finishing strong.
- Gameplay Feel: Another player noted the gameplay wasn’t very engaging for them personally. They felt the art and audio were fine and there was plenty of content, but the story didn’t fully grab them. They also described the inventory-management style as “idle,” which reduced excitement, even though they felt the game is otherwise well made.
