What Makes It Stand Out
Super Mario Adventure is a bold 2D platformer that reworks the classic Mario formula in a new setting. The action takes place in the Flower Kingdom, a colorful region next to the Mushroom Kingdom. You’ll play as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, and Toadette as you try to stop Bowser from carrying out his plan.
After Bowser takes the mystical Wonder Flower, he merges with Prince Florian’s castle, turning it into Castle Bowser and throwing the kingdom into chaos.
You’ll move through worlds like Pipe-Rock Plateau, Fluff-Puff Peaks, and Sunbaked Desert, each filled with its own set of puzzles, dangers, and secrets.
The game’s hallmark is the Wonder Flower mechanic. When it’s triggered, the environment changes in surprising ways—such as bringing pipes to life and starting musical scenes involving Trottin’ Piranha Plants. You can also collect Wonder Seeds to unlock new areas and keep the story moving.
For even more variety, power-ups include the new Elephant Fruit transformation, which lets characters smash through barriers and carry water in their trunks. Want a different playstyle? Equip badges to gain special abilities like gliding with the Parachute Cap or sprinting faster with the Scuttle.

Solo or multiplayer support is available, with up to four players teaming up either locally or online. Talking Flowers and other NPCs add extra flavor by offering hints and commentary as you explore. With lively visuals, flexible level design, and plenty of surprises, Super Mario Adventure delivers a fresh twist on the beloved series.
Story Overview

Mario and Luigi arrive at the palace of the Mushroom Kingdom, where an evening party is about to begin. But something’s terribly wrong: the plumbing is in total disarray—pipes are tangled, mixed up, and disconnected. The Mario Bros. jump into action (with Mario singing a pipe-themed parody of “Dem Bones,” while Luigi gets trapped in the mess) and eventually restore most of the system… except for one strange disconnected green pipe they haven’t seen before.
Then Mario notices a giant pipe that also wasn’t there earlier. He peeks inside—only for a Jumping Piranha Plant to leap out and bite him. Right after that, huge pipes begin bursting from the ground, forcing Mario and Luigi to flee the basement. When they reach the courtyard, they discover that many more pipes have already appeared.
Meanwhile, Princess Toadstool is playing a video game in the castle, surrounded by attendants. A guard arrives with alarming news: pipes have shown up all over the castle. Enemies start pouring out of the pipes and attacking the Mushroom guards, and Mario and Luigi suddenly find themselves surrounded. A Goomba and another Jumping Piranha Plant rush Luigi, but Mario jumps in to save him.

Mario then comes up with a plan. He pulls up a pipe that Luigi kicks a Goomba into, then places the other end in his mouth and spits it back out at the enemies to finish the fight. At that exact moment, a massive pipe shoots from the ground—and Bowser appears from it in his Clown Copter.

After testing his microphone, Bowser starts rapping. He tells Princess Toadstool that he wants to rule the Mushroom Kingdom, and that peace will only come if she marries him. The princess is furious, but Bowser gives her time to think—while warning that refusal will mean her people are turned to stone, petrifying some guards as an example. The Toads remember that Mario and Luigi are on their side…
