Star Wars: KOTOR Introduction

Star Wars: KOTOR Star Wars: KOTOR APK brings classic Jedi-era RPG action to Android. Pilot your ship across 8 worlds, recruit allies, master dozens of skills, and steer your alignment with choices that shape the party.

Star Wars: KOTOR

Star Wars: KOTOR is a well-known role-playing adventure where you step in as the galaxy’s last hope for the Jedi Order. You’ll command your starship and travel across the stars, pushing through story events and battles that unfold on eight distinct worlds. Along the way, you’ll meet a variety of allies, creatures, and vehicles—each planet bringing its own identity, challenges, and atmosphere.

You can also build your dream squad by choosing from a wide roster of characters. Equip them with weapons, then use dozens of skills to overpower enemies, secure wins, and collect rewards that help you strengthen the characters you care about most. The game includes customization options and controller support, letting you adjust key bindings for a more comfortable setup.

Gameplay

The combat and progression are built around the Star Wars Roleplaying Game rules made by Wizards of the Coast, which uses the d20 system derived from Third Edition Dungeons & Dragons.

Round-based combat is at the core of the game. Time is broken into separate rounds, and during each round, combatants attack and respond at the same time. Still, every character has a limited number of actions per round. Even though each round lasts for a short, fixed real-time window, you can configure the system to pause at key moments or between rounds.

Alignment System

Star Wars: KOTOR

Your character’s alignment is determined by both actions and dialogue. The game tracks everything from small wording choices to major story decisions, deciding whether you’re moving toward the light side or the dark side of the Force.

In the first game, your dialogue and choices don’t affect your teammates. In The Sith Lords, however, your influence extends beyond yourself—your behavior can shape not only your own path, but also your companions’ outcomes. This influence can be subtle (like helping a character shift from dark to light), or major (including teaching someone the ways of the Jedi). If you later act in a way that contradicts earlier choices, you may risk losing influence—so you’ll want to think carefully before responding.

The series also includes the concept of “Gray Jedi”, characters who follow their own interpretation of the Force rather than strictly obeying light or dark doctrine.

Lightsabers

Lightsabers in the series come with deep customization. You can adjust crystal colors and blade styles, and the developers aimed to expand the number of available crystal shades. While the classic blue and green are present, the game also offers options like orange and yellow.

As noted by Danny Paez for Inverse, KOTOR’s crystal variety encouraged many players to hunt them all to craft lightsabers matching their ideal look—pushing fans to search through every corner of the game world.

Strengths

Explore ancient worlds

  • Eventually, you’ll pilot your own ship, the Ebon Hawk, as you explore eight huge worlds such as Tatooine, Dantooine, and Kashyyyk.
  • While roaming these large maps, you’ll discover local conflicts, side stories, and extra objectives.
  • Working through all eight locations takes real time—so be prepared for a long journey.
  • History lovers will enjoy digging into the past of the Jedi and Sith. There’s a lot of background text, and reading it helps you fully understand that long-forgotten era.

Master the Force

  • Combat is tactical and round-based, with options like blasters, custom lightsabers, and over forty Force powers.
  • When planning attacks, the outcome depends on hidden dice results from the classic d20 style system.
  • Because enemy armor class is not shown, you may need time to learn how the math works.
  • Improving your To-Hit values is crucial if you want your attacks to reliably land.
  • Once you build your lightsaber and tailor your Force abilities, combat starts to feel more natural—though mastering the system takes practice.

Unforgettable companions

  • You can recruit customizable companions, with a party size of up to nine—including Twi’leks, wookiees, and droids.
  • On missions, companions often bring their own goals and viewpoints, which they’ll share with you during play.
  • Balancing everyone’s personalities can be challenging since you can’t satisfy every companion all the time.
  • All crew members are fully voiced and respond to your choices in the field.
  • Your companions’ loyalty can shift based on what you say, and relationships may change as you make decisions.
  • Repeated choices that they dislike can trigger angry reactions, adding an extra layer of tension to party life.

Useful Tips

The Scoundrel Has the Persuade Skill

The Scoundrel class is inspired by Han Solo. It doesn’t start with especially strong stats for computer use, repairs, or healing, but it makes up for that with standout expertise in other areas.
