Etheria is a role-playing game that drops you into the strange, beautiful world of Etheria—an online realm created after a global freeze, where humanity’s consciousness was transferred into digital form. But a dangerous genesis virus has begun to corrupt this virtual world. Players take on the role of Hyperlinkers, pushing forward through missions and battles to restore Etheria before it’s too late.

Build your party by choosing from a wide roster of characters. Head into battles and exploration with your team, and earn valuable rewards through story missions, arena fights, and frequent in-game events. As you progress, every character can develop along multiple growth routes. You can also combine Ether Modules to create characters that fight in different ways—making team-building and combat feel varied and exciting.

Extreme Snow Case

In the spring of 2133, an unprecedented cold wave spread across the planet. As the world was enveloped by relentless cold, people who witnessed the Seolgwang gradually lost their memory and awareness, slipping into deep sleep. Eventually, many died in coma-like states. To protect human society, the coalition government established and maintained refuge centers, supported by automated systems and ground material infrastructure.

Fifty Years of Prophecy and the Winter Project

By AD 2150, the coalition government predicted that a coming storm linked to extreme snow would be driven by a powerful supercomputer. Society panicked, and internal disputes destroyed multiple shelter locations. The coalition government concluded that current technology couldn’t prevent the disaster, and launched the “Winter Project.”

Early in the project, humanity tested the process of transferring human consciousness on an artificial island near the Pacific Equator.

Restart Day

In November 2174, the Allied government officially began the Etheria initiative. Qualified humans entered the intensive sleep zones in Node City. Their spirit, consciousness, and memories were converted into Alma data, stored in the Alma Database, and then connected to Etheria.

At the same time, the government deployed smart machines and guards to protect Node City and Alma Central. From then on, humanity split into two paths: some chose the real world, while others chose Etheria.

Etheria’s Prosperity

The brightest city in Etheria is Eltries. Life in the thriving etheric world quickly drew people in, and they began adapting to this new existence. Here, humanity regained daily routines, dreams, and hope—building lives, working, meeting others, and falling in love.

For a time, the harshness of the real world—ice, suffering, and extinction—could be forgotten. But peace didn’t last. As external forces invaded, humanity fractured, and conflicts between humans and “anime” grew, the crisis slowly returned.
