More and more smart TVs are becoming compatible with Android, which makes it easier than ever to turn your phone into a TV remote. If you don’t already have an app like CetusPlay (a smart TV remote controller for your smartphone), this is a great time to try it.

CetusPlay lets you control your smart TV from your Android phone or tablet—no extra physical remote required. To get everything working, you’ll also need to install CetusPlay For TV on your TV.

Once your smartphone and smart TV are on the same Wi‑Fi network, you can access CetusPlay and its features. Choose the remote button style you prefer on your phone, such as:

• Numeric keypad
• Mouse-style pad
• Gamepad layout
• Traditional touchpad

You can also manage apps installed on your TV and send content between devices so you can play things at the same time.

Setup Notes

For Fire TV / Fire TV Stick (New Users)

• Enable ADB debugging and restart your Fire TV / Fire Stick.
• Install the CetusPlay phone version, then connect it to your Fire TV.
• Make sure the CetusPlay For TV version is installed on the TV device.

For Fire TV / Fire TV Stick (Updated Users)

• Update to the latest phone version and update the TV version on your streaming media player.
• Confirm both devices are connected to the same Wi‑Fi.

Mouse click, app sideloading, and other premium functions require ADB debugging to be enabled on your streaming media players. The app’s Help Center will walk you through the setup.
