Magic Chess: Go Go Introduction

Magic Chess: Go Go Magic Chess: Go Go is an auto chess strategy game featuring MLBB-inspired heroes, factions, and gold-based purchases. Upgrade commanders by merging, equip gear, and draft cards to outsmart seven opponents.

Magic Chess: Go Go

Magic Chess: Go Go is a strategy auto-chess game made for fans of the genre. It recreates MLBB-inspired heroes in a familiar format while adding its own twists. Heroes are sorted into multiple factions. During play, you can spend gold to recruit the heroes you want.

As the match progresses, you’ll strengthen your team by merging three identical heroes to improve their star rating and battle attributes. Upgraded heroes can also wear powerful gear, helping you push toward victory against seven other players.

The draft phase includes a Google Card system, letting you choose cards more flexibly to gain an edge. The game is also continuously updated with new heroes, fresh synergies, and events, so the meta stays lively.

Core Mechanics

Magic Chess: Go Go

Commander system (different from classic Magic Chess)

Magic Chess: Go Go features a wide variety of Commanders—including some that don’t appear in the original Magic Chess mode. The Commander mechanics are notably different: each Commander includes both passive and active skills, plus emblems.

For example, Commanders such as Layla can have two separate passive abilities, giving you more ways to shape your build.

In addition, you can enhance Commanders by upgrading their star levels. If you merge three Commanders of the same star level, their overall star rating increases—this progression system is distinct from how Magic Chess works in MLBB.

Commander Star Trail

A standout feature is the Commander Star Trail. By collecting Star Trail points, you can unlock various Commanders for free.

Similar to Starr Roads in Brawl Stars, Commanders are released in order along the Star Trail. Each Commander has a specific point requirement you must meet to unlock it. Once you reach the needed points, you can claim that Commander and continue moving forward to access the next ones.

Commander choice bundles

While traveling through the cosmic path in Magic Chess: Go Go, you’ll also find Commander choice bundles. These bundles let you spend your earned points to pick a Commander from the available group for that bundle.

Star Trail points are not hard to farm. You can earn them by completing challenges in the Go Go Pass, playing Classic or Ranked matches, and taking part in upcoming events. After you finish your current Star Trail route, any additional points you earn will be converted into chess points.

Heroes, Factions, and Roles

Magic Chess: Go Go offers a large pool of heroes with unique abilities. Each hero belongs to a specific synergy, which helps you plan stronger team combinations throughout the match.

Currently, the game includes 52 MLBB heroes, organized into 10 factions and 10 roles. These categories highlight each hero’s strengths and provide a clear framework for building powerful lineups.

Equipment and Gear Types

Beyond star upgrades, you can further improve your heroes with equipment that boosts performance on the battlefield. Magic Chess: Go Go includes multiple equipment categories, including:

  • Physical equipment
  • Magic equipment
  • Defense equipment
  • Crystal equipment
  • Special equipment

Key Features

Recruit, merge, and position heroes

Magic Chess: Go Go is built around assembling lineups of MLBB-inspired heroes. You recruit units, combine duplicates to increase strength, and place them to form effective formations. This core loop remains consistent in the latest version, making gameplay pacing familiar for both new and returning players.

Eight-player matches and team options

In each match, you compete against seven other players through a rotating series of 1v1 rounds. Your aim is simple: survive longer than everyone else.

If you prefer teamwork, you can queue with friends and coordinate strategies for a shared outcome.

Commander skills that shape your tactics

Every Commander contributes distinct skills that influence your build decisions. Choosing a Commander early helps guide how you handle risk, manage resources, and adjust to your opponents across the tournament.

Go Go Cards for mid-match decisions

In addition to Commander skills, you can select Go Go Cards at key stages. These cards can affect your economy or your lineup, helping you push a lead—or turn things around with a comeback plan. Since cards appear at fixed moments and can influence multiple rounds, timing and selection are crucial.

Strategy Tips

Pick a Commander that fits your playstyle. Commanders strongly influence how you build in Magic Chess: Go Go. Each one offers skills that support different synergy strategies—whether you’re aiming to attack, defend, control enemy units, or strengthen specific hero types. For beginners, it’s recommended to choose a Commander with effects that are easier to understand and apply—especially those that help stabilize your early-game plan.
