No Place Like Home
No Place Like Home is an interactive story-driven game built around emotions and personal growth. You play as a former hacker and cybersecurity specialist who returns from Silicon Valley and has to face the real challenge of coming home—both emotionally and relationally. As you move through dialogue choices and moment-to-moment decisions, you’ll help him reconnect with his family, rebuild trust with his dedicated stepsister, and get to know two stepnieces with wildly different personalities. You’ll also uncover deeper answers behind characters like Katsu, a mysterious old friend whose secrets are revealed more with each new chapter. Through a journey that mixes tenderness, hardship, and hard-earned understanding, the game explores what “belonging” truly means—especially when love and loss are both part of the story.
Regularly updated chapters and carefully crafted character moments bring you right into the heart of the narrative—where every choice has weight.
Backstory
After about ten years away, a 35-year-old former hacker who later became a cyber security expert decides it’s time to return home. In Silicon Valley, he found love and stability—but somehow, he ended up losing it all.
For now, he’s staying with his older stepsister and her two daughters. While he sorts out what he actually wants from life, it’s your job to guide him through the reintroduction to the people he left behind—sometimes in ways that surprise even him.
Along the way, you’ll interact with:
- His hardworking stepsister
- Two stepnieces who are “polar opposites”
- A fascinating family friend
- A grumpy cat that fits right into the household mood
- Other mysterious individuals who gradually appear in their lives

By the end, one way or another, he’ll discover the truth: there really is No Place Like Home.
Note: While the game can be enjoyed as a standalone experience, it was originally designed as a simple patron-only companion project to Powers That Be. Due to fan demand, it’s now available publicly for everyone to play. Some characters and plot threads connect with other BOG titles, so checking those out may help you catch additional context and references.

From there, he searches for the meaning of life, strengthens bonds with people he cares about, makes new connections, interacts with neighbors, and uncovers strange but fascinating events. And throughout all of it, he’ll need your guidance—along with your insight—if he’s going to shape a better future.
