• I enjoy playing through the game normally—the art and gameplay are engaging—but it starts to lean heavily on gacha mechanics to collect everything. One slug is even exclusive to microtransactions. On top of that, the multiplayer mode doesn’t feel necessary and seems added without much balancing, especially for elemental differences. The game is fun overall, just be cautious about pressure to spend real money.
• Man, I’m excited it’s still available here. It has a very unique show-inspired style, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s genuinely a fun game. Even with the goofy look, it feels well-developed. The sheer number of slugs to find is a big bonus too—there are tons that aren’t even in the show (at least not that I’ve seen or heard about). Definitely worth checking out.
