Gameplay Strategies

Learn the Role Advantage System

CounterSide includes 7 roles: Defender (shields allies), Ranger (rear-position attacker), Siege (boss attacker), Striker (front-position attacker), Sniper (long-range attacker), Supporters (support allies with buffs, etc.), and Tower (defensive unit).

However, the key matchup cycle to master is based on 4 linked roles: Defender, Ranger, Striker, and Sniper. These roles follow a cycle of advantages:

• Striker has an advantage over Ranger
• Ranger has an advantage over Defender
• Defender has an advantage over Sniper
• Sniper has an advantage over Striker

If you have the advantage over a role: you gain +30% outgoing damage and +30% incoming damage based on the role advantage.

Watch Attack Types

There are 3 attack types in Counterside: Ground Attack, Air Attack, and All-round Attack. Make sure your squad composition and positioning match the attack types you expect to face.
