NetMonster Introduction

NetMonster NetMonster lets you scan and log nearby cell towers, showing key network identifiers, operator and signal details. Track changes over time and export your measurements for deeper reception insight.

NetMonster

NetMonster is a handy tool for exploring detailed information about mobile networks. With a single tap, it can show a list of nearby devices and provide details such as the network connection type, operator, frequency, and even connection speed.

Whether you’re using 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, or CDMA, NetMonster can display carrier and cell identifiers like CID, LAC, RXL, TA, BSIC, ARFCN, and more. To access these capabilities, simply turn on location and mobile data. Download NetMonster and get a clearer view of what’s happening across your network—right from your phone.

About

NetMonster collects, displays, and saves information about nearby cell towers. Each tower is associated with its own unique identifiers, and NetMonster shows you those details. In certain regions and countries, it can also reveal precise location data.

NetMonster

Every cell your phone actively connects to is continuously recorded in a log while the app is running. When you close the app, the recording stops. You can also manually adjust location, view collected cells on a map, filter entries, and ultimately export the data.

The app also visualizes signal changes and includes brief explanations of what each measurement means—plus how it may influence reception quality or theoretical maximum speed.

Supported network types

NetMonster

  • GSM
  • CDMA
  • WCDMA
  • TD-SCDMA
  • 4G LTE
  • 5G NSA
  • 5G SA

For LTE networks, NetMonster can also detect aggregated carriers (commonly referred to as LTE-Advanced). Where 5G NSA is available, you can see whether it’s actually being used or just deployed, and you can also view carrier aggregation for scenarios like 4G + 5G NSA.

Features
