Developer’s Note

Okay—maybe it’s been a while. Or maybe it hasn’t. Either way, I decided to pause my other project and try something different… something more “interesting.” I’m not sure how much time has passed, but this is what I’m working on now.

His Bet, Her Loss is intended as a one-time, quick project—more accurately described as a “fast food NTR” experience. I wanted something short and direct, something I could experiment with without feeling guilty about it.

In other words, the game is meant to be a little “simple.” If you’re specifically looking for exceptional writing—or even classic NTR in a particular style—you may want to look elsewhere. That said, one thing you will get is great art. Seriously—the artist did an amazing job.

I’ve had the core idea for a while: a bet about whether the protagonist’s girlfriend will fall for someone else. I also wanted to force myself to keep the game brief, so the bet is framed like “after five days.” That constraint helps me stay on track.

The target is around 60,000 words. It’s a short story, and it may not be the most polished writing—but hopefully it’s still entertaining. Even then… I’m not sure I’ll reach that number. I worry I may not make it to 60,000, but I’m doing my best. I know I still have a lot to learn as a writer.

As for the “corruption” angle: it’s genuinely difficult to stay inside the intended boundaries—so, like I said… it’s basically meant to be “dumb.”
